Collection Bibles

The American Bible Society is a 200-year-old non-profit organization whose goal is to share the life-changing message of the bible with communities around the globe.

It’s a non-denominational Bible society which publishes, distributes and translates the Bible and provides study aids and other tools to help people engage with the Bible.

It’s a non-denominational Bible society which publishes, distributes and translates the Bible and provides study aids and other tools to help people engage with the Bible.

The headquarter in Philadelphia is a modern workplace that utilizes a combination of technology, artifacts, graphic bible verses and scriptures from the society’s rare collection of over 46,000 bibles, which also reflects the deep history of the organization and the impact of the bible.

Challenge

Although this was a simple project, the need for airtight and humidity-controlled cases was a priority for this project, along with the need to protect the bibles from ultra-violets.

The client also wanted to use an existing marble countertop on which the table-style cases would sit. We did not have the possibility to anchor the cases to these countertops and needed to provide a solution to secure them in place.

Our Solutions

The table cases for this project were of the highest conservation standard and included an independent access to the silica gel without the need to open the cases.

Designed without any base, these bonnets could rest directly on their marble countertops and were secured with high quality adhesive that could be removed in the future without causing any damage.
